Glee entertains me half of the time, and bugs me the rest. I watch it though.
Lie to Me is awesome.
Legend of the Seeker needs to come back.
Community and Modern Family are both really really fun times. So glad there's great new comedy.
Are either FlashForward or Vampire Diares worth watching?
Yay TV.

I just loved it. I watched from 2x06 to the finale in that rocketing, roller-coaster kind of way, where at the end you're a little breathless, and you don't quite know what you've just seen, but you do know that it was AWESOME. I didn't really expect to like the show at all. I've never been a huge fan of robots, or apocalyptic stories, or stories with "Chosen Heroes" (even though that encompasses just about every story ever), or even the original movies, but something about this show just worked for me. Part of it was Sarah Connor; part of it was the religious symbolism, which I never got tired of analyzing; part of it was the subdued sexual tension; part of it was the camera-work; part of it was the themes of family and duty and innocence; and part of it was, yeah, the explosions and killer robots.
And as ever, I'm left to wonder why this show did for me what Battlestar Galactica didn't.
( More comments, including random pictures and LOTS OF SPOILERS (deaths, events, etc)--if you're considering watching the show I'd suggest NOT reading this )

This was my perspective when a friend and I decided to watch Legend of the Seeker last night. And well...the experience was SO SO ENTERTAINING. It's basically like every single fantasy cliche come to life. The writing is terrible, the acting is bad, the attempts at humor are FAIL. Really, the only the thing the show has going for it is that it is VERY VERY pretty. But that is enough.
Basically, it's made of lulz. It exists to be mocked, and to have SEXUAL INNUENDO INSERTED AT EVERY POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY. Mostly by us, but the show helped.
Thus, picspamming.

Or: Why Even Though This Is A Hugely Successful Program, I Still Feel Like I Need To Explain Why I Like It Because There's A Lot Of Interesting Hostility Towards It On The Internet. That said, if you already know you don't like the show, that's entirely valid, and I'm not going to try to change your mind. But if you haven't seen it, allow me to explain the crazy and addictive cultural thing that is this show.
This was brought on by the fact that there's only one more season left, and because I kinda wanted to convince
greatbriton to watch. /selfish
So, because I like lists, and because I like lists with ten items, here is a ten-point slightly-random compilation of why the show actually is worth watching.

And okay, I really don't know what compelled me to make these, but um, I KIND OF LOVE THIS MOVIE LIKE A LOT. I AM A LITTLE BOGGLED AT MYSELF. Plus there aren't really any icons out there.

A friend and I have pretty similar tastes in television, so we tend to watch a lot of stuff together. However, when our tastes diverge, they diverge. Which made me curious why certain shows, even very similar shows, either click with you or don’t. Hence this poll. Twelve shows, six battles. Feel free to explain why you picked one or the other in the comments. I’m genuinely curious about this stuff.
Poll #1386982
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 19
Battle #1: The shows about people combating a post-apocalyptic future/present brought on by tall shiny man-made robots with red eyes (who sometimes look like humans) while exploring religious themes and personal angst.
Battle #2: These two don’t have as much in common with each other as some pairings, but they’re both sometimes-goofy sometimes-heartbreaking shows set in space with elaborate aliens. Mostly I just wanted to see how they did against each other.
Battle #3: The highly melodramatic shows about really pretty people and their relationships that their respective subjects, Doctors and Southerners, claim are very realistic portrayals.
Grey’s Anatomy (No, I really don’t kid you. Doctors tell me it’s realistic. Whatever, guys)![]()

5 (41.7%)
Friday Night Lights![]()

7 (58.3%)
Battle #4: The Whedonverse. Shows about snarky yet endearing characters living in a fantastical and morally grey universe.
Battle #5: The supernatural procedurals. Shows where a small task force takes on bizarre cases amid a larger conspiracy and burgeoning sexual tension.
Battle #6: Quirky Bryan Fuller shows about death set in eateries. Plus bonus golden retrievers, daddy issues, perky blondes, and glowy fingers. This post has a considerably more elaborate explanation.
I had some others, but I figure that’s good for now. Also, er, the flist is a good size, but not too big, so if you feel like directing anyone here, that would be cool. But this is totally only for my personal amusement so, you know, whatever.
(also, if this is taking up too much room on your flist, let me know and i'll cut it)

Like fucking duh.
I am really really slow sometimes.
Also, how much do I love this show? An evil terminator just transformed out of a toilet and killed a dude with her finger whilst the Connors angsted about the ability of a robot to love.
Unfortunately, the loss of the emo hair of lulz makes me inexplicably sad.

Story:
After browsing
farscaperewatch the other day, I ran across Farscape promo pics, which of course led to browsing other promo pics, which led to nothing getting done at all, which has led to, naturally, picspamming. So I’m browsing through the pics all la la la space, muppets, leather, hotness, when I realize that there is really quite a bit of amusingly inappropriate touching going on. It’s all, “Why hello, Mr. Browder, WHATCHA DOIN’ WITH YOUR HANDS THERE, ACE?”
Allow me to prove my point.
( Necessary scientific examples follow )
(Boy, I've done a lot of FS posts lately, haven't I? I'm thinking I should do more X-Files or something.)
Edited: Changed some links so people should be able to see them all, because no one should be deprived of John and Aeryn/ BB and CB hotness.

So, I’m currently finishing up the second season of Dead Like Me and I’ve noticed for a while that the show and Pushing Daisies are totally the same thing…except not. People have remarked on this before, I hope, right? I mean, besides the fact that they were both made by Brian Fuller. And are excellent.
Thus…here are 10 reasons why Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me are basically the same show, except the opposite. Or at least in the same universe.

This show may be just about the hardest show in fandom to pimp. On first watch it’s a little too loud, a little too garish, and a little too weird. You dismiss it as “Muppets in Space,” and pass on by. So did I. But I was missing out on something huge and gorgeous and epic and true. And so are you.
Which brings us to…Ten reasons to watch one of the greatest scifi shows ever made:
